The Youth Narrative is our youth communications group – formed of young people keen on using different forms of communication to share children and young people’s thoughts and views on healthcare issues. They meet regularly online to write articles and reviews for Milestones (the RCPCH Members quarterly magazine for paediatricians), and blogs and testimonials for this website. They also help create storylines and scripts for videos and podcasts. RCPCH &Us even has its own podcast channel, with podcasts including ‘My condition &…going beyond the clinical’ and ‘Engagement Done Well’.  

In Autumn 2024 the group attended training on Digital Storytelling delivered by the Media Trust. They choose topics to write about they feel are important and current, and on which they have strong views to share. Recent Milestones articles can be read below below, and include topics like the transition from child to adult services and Children’s Rights.
