RCPCH Engagement Academy

The Engagement Academy supports doctors and healthcare workers to develop their skills on working with and communicating to children and young people like you. They learn how to ask good questions, include everyone, and make sure your thoughts and ideas help improve hospitals and health services.

By learning how to bring with children and young people together in groups in an inclusive and accessible way, they can make sure your voice is heard when decisions are made about your healthcare. This helps create better services that understand what children and young people really need.

The Engagement Academy helps them to think about important things like:

·       Your rights as a child (United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child – UNCRC)

·       How to support everyone to take part

·       How to use your feedback to make real changes

We help them through phone conversations, courses, sessions and meetings which can take online or in person, following the RCPCH Engagement Standards.
