Climate Changers are a group of young people passionate about sustainability and the environment. This year they have worked alongside the College’s Clean Air Project team, advising on and producing resources for an Air Pollution Companion toolkit for paediatricians, helping them begin clean air conversations with their patients.
In October 2024 the group travelled to Sol Haven in Northampton to learn about the principles of permaculture and began designing resources including a top tips leaflet for paediatricians on how to talk to children and young people, a poster for families on ways to improve the air you breathe, and a video commenting on nearly 1000 children and young people’s views on air pollution.
Members of the group also went on stage at conference to give a presentation on their work, and took part in judging Abstracts written by paediatricians with ideas for improving sustainability in healthcare settings.
